I'm going to teach to receptionists who are going to work in a hotel. I found this video on youtube called English for Hotel and Tourism: Checking into a hotel.

I searched on google (pdf receptionist giving directions) On this webpage you can find examples of diagrams and directions. The second part ,exercises and key vocabulary, the last part phrases that they should repeat.

Here you can find an audio an a dialogue about "Booking a hotel room". This could work to practice pronunciation and how to manage things if the costumer needs something.

As teachers we always have to explore and learn...

I want to explore about teaching in Nursery School. So as we know ,as teachers we have to create fun and dynamic activities for them to acquire the second language.

First: I will start explainig the topic. For example:" Numbers" : Here is the link of the song and the video :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTLtcno5_cY. The kids are going to sing the song repeating the numbers one by one.

Second activity: I'm going to use cards with the numbers, so they can count and recognized it.
Then I'll give you a worsheet where they have to paint the numbers with different colors.For example :

PAINT NUMBER 1 WITH RED.
To finish the class: We are going to count the things in the classroom. For example: How many radios do you see? or How many netbooks do you have?

Teaching Grammar

Grammar activity:

I will give each student a card which they will have to write or try to guess the correct coordinating or subordinang conjuction, putting vowels to complete the correct words.In this activity everyone has to participate,each student has to tell what word she/he has completed. Then I will write sentences on the blackboard using coordinating conjuntions and subordinating conjuntions which students have to choose the correct  conjuction , for that they will have to work in pairs, so everyone has to participate.
